A way Out of Domestic Violence was created in 2019 by Amanda Houston who survived many years of domestic violence. After going though the horror of DV, she created A Way Out when she realized the urgent need for support for victims and families affected by domestic violence. Many individuals are left feeling trapped in shame, pain, confusion, and silence. Some do not even have the language to fully understand or explain what they are experiencing.
A Way Out of Domestic Violence was created to be a voice for those who feel voiceless. Our mission is to provide support, guidance, and access to resources that can often be difficult to find during the very moments when survivors are simply trying to survive. Through awareness, advocacy, and community support, we strive to help individuals recognize what they are experiencing, find the help they need, and begin the journey toward healing, freedom, and restoration.
Helping Survivors Find Their Way to Freedom and Healing.

Treasurer
This is Tanisha Stewart, our Treasurer. After life's challenges got in the way of my plans, by the grace of God, I was able to get back on my feet. I am now in a place, both physically and mentally, where, alongside my fellow board members, I can dedicate myself to assisting others in any way I can, especially those who may be experiencing domestic violence.
A fun fact about me is that I love a good laugh.

Public Relations
My name is Roshanna Chambers and I am a proud advocate for domestic violence survivors and those who have been affected by it. Although I have never personally experienced domestic violence I believe everyone deserves to live free from fear, abuse, and control. My passion is to raise awareness, offer support, be a voice for those who feel unheard, and help survivors find hope, healing, and empowerment. Together, we can break the silence and build a world where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
